Wie kann man am besten draußen Schlafen?

Wer sich zum ersten Mal mit dem Thema „draußen schlafen“ beschäftigt, sollte sich für den ersten Feldversuch komfortable Bedingungen schaffen. Ideal ist eine warme Nacht mit Temperaturen über zehn Grad. Der Wetterbericht sollte stabile Bedingungen und keinen Niederschlag ankündigen, denn ein ungeplanter Weckservice durch Gewitter und Regentropfen ist mehr als unangenehm.

Zuerst mal die gute Nachricht vorweg: jede/r darf den Wald betreten um sich dort zu erholen. Im § 59 des Bundesnaturschutzgesetz heißt es dazu:

Das Betreten der freien Landschaft auf Straßen und Wegen sowie auf ungenutzten Grundflächen zum Zweck der Erholung ist allen gestattet.

und im § 14 des Bundeswaldgesetz:

Grundsätzlich ist Biwakieren nicht verboten. Du solltest Flächen meiden, die offensichtlich von einem Bauern genutzt werden oder zu einem Hof gehören. Hier lohnt es sich aber manchmal schon einfach anzuklopfen und zu fragen, ob ihr dort übernachten dürft.

Da die Details von den Bundesländern geregelt werden, gibt es hier noch ein paar Besonderheiten.

In Schleswig-Holstein und Hessen ist es verboten im Wald nachts die Wege zu verlassen2. Das heißt, dort dürftest du nur auf einem Waldweg schlafen. Praktikabel und gemütlich ist das natürlich nicht. Du darfst in diesen Bundesländern aber weiterhin in der sonstigen Natur (außerhalb des Waldes) übernachten.
